Mahmoud Ghaffari<\/h1>\n

Born in Tehran in 1976, Ghaffari began his career with a series of short films, some of which won awards at Iranian festivals. His first feature film, It’s a Dream<\/strong> (2012), premiered in Nantes (Spain) and won the Talent Award at the Freiburg Film Festival (Germany). With Hair<\/strong> (2016), he explored the lives of deaf female athletes in Iran. His short film Deer<\/strong> (2021) was recognized as Best Short Film at the Berlinale.<\/p>\n

He has worked with such renowned filmmakers as Abbas Kiarostami<\/strong> and Asghar Farhadi<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
