Hossein Zoghi<\/strong> (born 1980 in Tehran) is an Iranian journalist, theatre director, and actor. He has worked extensively as a journalist and editorial board member in numerous Iranian publications. His work in journalism has been heavily impacted by continuous pressure and the experience of repeated newspaper and publication bans.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n For years, Zoghi has been active in the underground theatre scene in Iran. His performances primarily address sensitive political and social issues in Iran and the Middle East, often featuring portraits of forbidden Iranian socio-political icons. He strives to incorporate traditional Iranian performance customs into his works.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Due to his focus on political content, particularly a performance concerning Mohammad Mossadegh and the 1953 Iranian Coup d’\u00e9tat, Hossein Zoghi was banned from official theatre activities in Iran.
