{"id":2219,"date":"2025-09-29T13:20:44","date_gmt":"2025-09-29T11:20:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nocallarem.org\/our-resident-marwa-abu-raida-invited-to-mondiacult-2025\/"},"modified":"2025-09-29T13:20:44","modified_gmt":"2025-09-29T11:20:44","slug":"our-resident-marwa-abu-raida-invited-to-mondiacult-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nocallarem.org\/en\/our-resident-marwa-abu-raida-invited-to-mondiacult-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Our resident Marwa Abu Raida invited to Mondiacult 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"40\" data-end=\"306\">In the framework of the <strong data-start=\"64\" data-end=\"83\">Mondiacult 2025<\/strong> UNESCO congress, which will be held in Barcelona between 29 September and 1 October, the <strong data-start=\"173\" data-end=\"182\">NODES<\/strong> initiative is dedicated to creating spaces for reflection and the exchange of lived experiences around cultural policies.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"308\" data-end=\"794\">This year, at <strong data-start=\"322\" data-end=\"350\">NO CALLAREM AR-Barcelona<\/strong>, we are very proud that <strong data-start=\"375\" data-end=\"394\">Marwa Abu Raida<\/strong> is one of our resident artists. During the conference, in which <strong data-start=\"459\" data-end=\"479\">Marita Muukkonen<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"484\" data-end=\"502\">Ivor Stodolsky<\/strong>, founders of the international organisation <strong data-start=\"547\" data-end=\"571\">ARTISTS AT RISK (AR)<\/strong>\u2014of which we are a member\u2014will also take part, Marwa will share her personal and artistic experience in exile, exploring the conditions of vulnerability that can shape creative practice and the defence of cultural rights.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"796\" data-end=\"1234\"><strong data-start=\"796\" data-end=\"820\">Marwa Radi Abu Raida<\/strong> is a Palestinian writer and poet from Gaza. Her work addresses themes such as displacement, resistance, and the possibility of reconciliation. She is the author of the novel <em data-start=\"995\" data-end=\"1034\">Friends of Fearness \u2013 Galil and Ozile<\/em>, which promotes peace between Palestinians and Israelis and has led to persecution by Hamas sympathisers, as well as an <strong data-start=\"1155\" data-end=\"1231\">Honourable Mention at the Ars Electronica \u2013 State of the ART(ist) Awards<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1236\" data-end=\"1710\">She currently resides in Egypt after fleeing Gaza and continues her literary practice under precarious circumstances, combining philosophy, psychology and poetry. Among her achievements are the play <em data-start=\"1435\" data-end=\"1465\">Philosopher and the Wanderer<\/em>, finalist for the <strong data-start=\"1484\" data-end=\"1524\">Alaa Al-Jaber Playwriting Award 2025<\/strong>, and the story <em data-start=\"1540\" data-end=\"1569\">The Girl Who Cried the Moon<\/em>, winner of a national children\u2019s literature contest.
